(OK4EVER) is more than a newspaper. It is a photo exhibition, a visual identity, and a journey through the eyes of director and photographer Oliver Knauer.
The core idea was to develop a concept that could operate both as an exhibition format and as an art catalogue. The experience changes depending on how viewers engage with it: when viewed as a catalogue, it offers one narrative flow; when physically taken apart, an entirely new experience unfolds.
This was achieved through a reverse imposition system - designed to work as a coherent catalogue layout while also transforming into individual posters and art photographs within an exhibition context.
The newspaper format and print style were intentionally chosen to enhance the documentary quality of Oliver Knauer's photography. At the same time, the large format allowed the images to function powerfully within a spacious exhibition setting. The rawness of the newspaper print introduced an organic, tactile quality to the project.
One that feels deliberately non-digital and grounded in materiality.
Red was selected as the primary accent color to create maximum visual impact. In combination with black-and-white photography, it establishes a balance that feels both classic and contemporary, reinforcing the project's visual identity.
(OK4EVER) was exhibited on December 7 at the photo studio The Lab in Copenhagen.

"Ich kann nicht anders" ("I cant help it") is about a very passionate phase of my life, driven by a search for connection while feeling out of place. The figure and the industrial bakcgorund express the emotional contrast and the pains I undertook to to find belonging while feeling unanchored in a world I didnt understand.
Through an intense color palette oranges and deep violets the idea of a freneitc even desperate search for connection is expressed. The work tries to capture a restless, phase of life where the search for intimacy becomes a desperate remedy for displacement, to find a sense of belonging in a foreign place.

"So wie es nie war" ("As it never was"), expresses a nostalgic or perhaps melancholic feeling. Its the mountain of my childhood, in the background and a ghostly blurred figure in the foreground. The figure feels out of place, doesnt belong here, just like me in a foreign coutnry.
But it is too late now to go back, the memories have been made, the past is gone.
The home we long for has become a place that exists only in our minds and is ultimaelty a fiction that is as it never was.
